Yes, a Chartered Accountant can join CBI, you can start your career as a Sub-Inspector in CBI. The SSC-CGL is the perfect platform for it and you need to have a graduate-level degree from a recognized university. You also need to satisfy your age, medical and physical standards qualification is also important.

SSC-CGL is not only the way to join CBI, you can directly join at higher posts in CBI if you don't wish to take the long course. The route for that is through the UPSC Civil Service examination. You can clear the IPS exam and can join the Central Bureau of Investigation.

There is no industry or no companies where Chartered Accountants are not required. Either companies hire Chartered Accountant or hire the services of a Chartered Accountant firm or do both.

SSC conducts Combined Graduate Level examination for recruitment to post of Inspector in CBI. Graduates in any discipline are eligible for this exam. Being a chartered accountant, you must have done bachelor's degree.
