Dear friends, I am interested to study BTech(Mathematics & Computing) from IIT - Guwahati. So, I would like to know about the process of getting admission in this institute for this course asap.

The admission procedure to study BTech(Mathematics & Computing) at IIT - Guwahati includes the following steps:

1. JEE Main: Candidates must first appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

2. JEE Advanced: Candidates who qualify the JEE Main are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination which is conducted by one of the IITs.

3. Online Application: Candidates must fill the online application form available on the IIT - Guwahati website after the announcement of JEE Advanced results.

4. Counselling: Candidates who qualify the JEE Advanced and meet the cut-off criteria will be called for counselling.

5. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted to candidates based on their JEE Advanced rank and choice of course and institute.

6. Document Verification: Candidates must bring all the required documents for verification during the counselling process.

The documents required for verification include:

- JEE Advanced Admit Card
- JEE Advanced Scorecard
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheets
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Passport size photographs
- Seat allotment letter

Candidates must also pay the admission fee to confirm their admission.

The admission procedure for BTech (Mathematics & Computing) at IIT Guwahati is as follows:

1. Eligibility: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The candidate should have also secured at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates) in these subjects.

2. JEE Advanced exam: The candidate needs to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced conducted by one of the IITs. The exam is usually held in May every year.

3. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Based on the JEE Advanced rank, the candidate will be called for counseling and seat allotment. The counseling process is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). During the counseling process, the candidate will have to choose their preferred course and IIT.

4. Document Verification: After the seat allotment, the candidate will have to visit the allotted institute for document verification. The following documents will be required for verification:

- Class 10th and 12th Marksheet
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Passport size photographs

5. Payment of Fees: After successful document verification, the candidate will have to pay the admission fees to secure their seat in the institute.

6. Reporting to the Institute: Finally, the candidate needs to report to the allotted institute on the reporting date mentioned in the admission letter. The candidate will have to complete the admission formalities and attend the orientation program.
