Am I eligible to get admission in NIT-Durgapur if secured 85% in 12th CBSE and scored 83 marks in JEE Main being an OBC candidate?


Hello everyone,
I have got 83 marks in JEE Main of this year and I have got 85% marks in 12th CBSE Board. I am from Bengal and I am an OBC candidate. Will I get admission in NIT Durgapur?

No, you are not eligible to get admission in NIT Durgapur if secured 85% in 12th CBSE and scored 83 marks in JEE Main being an OBC Candidate.

A candidate from OBC category must have secured more than 120 marks in JEE Main to get admission in NIT Durgapur. With low score such as 83, you can't get admisison in NIT Durgapur.

Yes dear, you are eligible for admission in NIT Durgapur.

-> For OBC candidate, cut off marks in JEE mains are 70-75.

-> So you are eligible for NIT Durgapur.

-> In NIT Durgapur, Admission procedure is:

1. Candidate must be clear the 12th exam with PCM ( Physics, chemistry, math) with 60 % marks.

2. Candidate must have cleared the AIEEE exam .

-> Your qualification is similar with NIT, so you can apply for admission in NIT durgapur.

Can I get admission in svnit with 88% in gseb and 101in jeemain.
