i have 117 marks in jee main and 86% in plustwo exams,i am belongs to obc....but i'm not attended jee advanced exam...can i get admission at NIT calicut?what is the significance of jee advanced exam??

The difference in both the exams is JEE Mains is the preliminary stage whereas JEE Advaced is the final stage of the exam.

Once you clear the JEE Mains, then you are qualified to write the JEE Advanced exam and once you qualify that too, you are eligible to get the admission in a college of you choice based on your rank.

But, one cannot predict the cutoff marks or the rank.

It depends on the following factors :
* The number of applications for the course.
* Demand of the course
* Number of seats offered.

But yes, you should give your best while preparing fr the examination, apply for whichever course you want and wait for the result.
After the result sit in the counselling and be optimistic.
