I am a civil engineering student i want to prepare for Gate i read some book about this and there is one section reasoning in which there are some questions base on probability so which book is best for me to learn probability

Reasoning and aptitude by engineers institute of India
Aptitude and reasoning by Hemant Jain and Sameer Jain
Book by Abhijeet Guha
Book by binay Dutta

Practice all the related topics which are relevant to the Gate syllabus .
Device short notes for every topic which cover all important points and formulas which practice the problem.
Practice previous Gate problems from all streams after every topic completion.

This books help in preparation of all competitive exam .

To prepare for Reasoning and Aptitude part of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering), you do not need to worry to much if you are good with Mathematics upto high school.

But, from the preparation and practice point of view, you can go through the books on aptitude and reasoning by R.S. Aggarwal. You can also refer to books by GATE coaching centers like MadeEasy and Gate Academy which are more specific to the reasoning and aptitude syllabus relevant to GATE examination pattern.
