As far as you are concerned about the eligibility for admission in NIT, Meghalaya to pursue B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, then it remains the same as the eligibility for appearing in JEE Main as the admission in NIT, Meghalaya to study B.Tech degree course is based on the performance in JEE Main .

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and it is held by NTA (National Testing Agency ) for admission in B.Tech/B.Arch degree course across various CFTIs such as IIT, NIT, ISM, etc. other private engineering colleges.

Further, the minimum education required for appearing in JEE Main is a Class 12th in Science stream with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects with at least 75% marks ( or 65% marks in case of SC/ST or PH category candidates ) from a recognized board of education. Students failing to secure the above specified minimum marks in their Class 12th but still able to make it to the top 20 percentile candidates on their respective board of education are also eligible

For more details regarding admission procedure to NIT, Meghalaya, you can refer to the link www.nitmeghalaya.in while for FAQs related to JEE Main, you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in.
