I want to study BCA after my 12th Science. But I have certain doubts about BCA course. Such as is Maths is compulsory in BCA or what are the subjects to be taught during this course?

BCA course stands for Bachelor in Computer Application which is a under graduate course , duration of 3 years & having six semesters . The list of subjects in BCA course are as follows :

First Semester

1 CS - 1 Communication Skill
2 CS - 2 Problem Solving Methodologies & Programming in C
3 CS - 3 Computer Fundamental & Emerging Technology
4 CS - 4 Networking & Internet Environment
5 CS - 5 Practical Based on CS-04 & PC Software
6 CS - 6 Practical Based on CS-02

Second Semester

1 CS - 7 Data Structure using C Language
2 CS - 8 Developing Application using Visual Basic 6.0
3 CS - 9 Computer Organization and Architecture
4 CS - 10 Mathematical & Statistical Foundation of Computer Science
5 CS - 11 Practical on CS-07
6 CS - 12 Practical on CS-08

Third Semester

1 CS - 13 SAD, Software Quality Assurance and Testing

No, mathematics subject is not necessary. However, most of the reputed colleges give first preference to the students who have studied Mathematics subject at 12th standard level. Apart from this most of the BCA colleges includes Mathematics subject in BCA syllabus. Those candidates who have studied Mathematics subject at 12th standard level you can study BCA course without much difficulties.

Yeah Mathematics is compulsory for joining in BCA which is a under graduate course. To do this course there are certain eligibility conditions which you need to satisfy.

The candidate should have completed +2 from a recognized school board of education with at least 60% aggregate and should have got mathematics as subject.

The subjects which you will study would include Programming languages such as C,C++,JAVA,C#. The other includes database such as SQL. You will learn about OS and web designing tools such as .NET,HTML.

No, Mathematics is not compulsory in BCA, but most of the institute insist that candidate should have completed 12th with Mathematics.

Age of candidate must be above 17 years.

Actually Maths is one of subjects in BCA Course. But it is not mandatory to study Maths for BCA. But yes some repudiated Institutes kept Maths as Necessary subjects in Now a days.

BCA stands for the Bachelor of Computer Applications. It is a three years course in computer application.

To be eligible for this course, a candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with science subjects. Yes, most of the top colleges offering this course take candidates who have studied mathematics at the 10+2 level.

But there are certain colleges in which you can get admission even without mathematics at 10+2 level but you must have studied science subjects. The subjects under BCA is different under different universities.

Yes, mathematics is compulsory for BCA course.

BCA stands for Bachelor's of Computer Application.

The candidate should have completed 12th in any stream preferably Science stream with at least 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subject of studies from a recognized Board.

Your age shouldn't be bellow 17 years.

Eligibility criteria for doing BCA:

1. Candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 50%.

2. Candidates should have studied Mathematics in his/her boards as a main subject.

3. Some colleges conduct their own entrance exam for providing admission to students in BCA course.


Note:

. Getting 50% in boards is only a criteria for admission, this does not guarantee your admission. You should score atleast more than 60% in your boards to get into any good Institute.

. In some colleges maths is not considered as an important element for admission in BCA, in those Institutions only your aggregate percentage in +2 is considered.
