Is Mathematics compulsory in BCA? Subjects enlisted to study?
Sir,
I want to study BCA after my 12th Science. But I have certain doubts about BCA course. Such as is Maths is compulsory in BCA or what are the subjects to be taught during this course? |

No, mathematics subject is not necessary. However, most of the reputed colleges give first preference to the students who have studied Mathematics subject at 12th standard level. Apart from this most of the BCA colleges includes Mathematics subject in BCA syllabus. Those candidates who have studied Mathematics subject at 12th standard level you can study BCA course without much difficulties.

No, Mathematics is not compulsory in BCA, but most of the institute insist that candidate should have completed 12th with Mathematics.
Age of candidate must be above 17 years. Actually Maths is one of subjects in BCA Course. But it is not mandatory to study Maths for BCA. But yes some repudiated Institutes kept Maths as Necessary subjects in Now a days.

BCA stands for the Bachelor of Computer Applications. It is a three years course in computer application.
To be eligible for this course, a candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with science subjects. Yes, most of the top colleges offering this course take candidates who have studied mathematics at the 10+2 level. But there are certain colleges in which you can get admission even without mathematics at 10+2 level but you must have studied science subjects. The subjects under BCA is different under different universities. |

Eligibility criteria for doing BCA:
1. Candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 50%. 2. Candidates should have studied Mathematics in his/her boards as a main subject. 3. Some colleges conduct their own entrance exam for providing admission to students in BCA course. Note: . Getting 50% in boards is only a criteria for admission, this does not guarantee your admission. You should score atleast more than 60% in your boards to get into any good Institute. . In some colleges maths is not considered as an important element for admission in BCA, in those Institutions only your aggregate percentage in +2 is considered.
