Section 1

Political Theory

Nature and Scope of Political Science

Theories of Democracy

Liberalism, Socialism and Marxism

Theory of Rights, Liberty and Equalityand Justice

Section B

Government and Politics with Special reference of India

Indian Political System

'UP PCS' stands for Uttar Pradesh Provinciall Civil Services'.

This test consists of two papers,each paper will be for 200 marks and 2 hours of time will be allotted for each paper.
Paper-1 will be held at morning session i.e., from '9:30 to 11:30' and Paper-2 will be held at the after noon session i.e., from '2:30 to 4:30'.

The syllabus for Paper-1 is:-

General Studies which includes.
-Economic and Social Development,
-History of India and Indian National Movement,
-Indian and World Geography,
-Indian Polity and Governance,
-General Science,
-Current Events of National and International Importance,
-Bio-diversity and climatic changes,
-General issues on Environmental Ecology

The syllabus for Paper-2 is:-

General Studies-II which includes.
-Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability,
-Decision making and problem solving,
-Comprehension,
-General Mental Ability,
-And mathematics which you have learnt from your childhood upto your 10th.
