What are the career options available in Psychology for a BA Honours student?


Hello Sir, I am studying BA in Psychology Honours. I want to make my career in Psychology. I want to know what are the career options for me? My friends are going to opt for MBA program. I am really confused. Please help me.

After completing the graduation in psychology, one can eligible for following career paths:-
  • Career Counselor
  • Rehabilitation specialist
  • Child care worker
  • Psychiatric Technician
  • Advertising agent
  • Market researcher
  • Social Service Specialists
  • Case manager
  • School Teacher
Or one can find job in the following sectors:-
  • NGOs and Child/Youth Guidance Centers
  • Rehabilitation Centers
  • Corporate Sector
  • Hospitality
  • Hospitals
  • Banking

Teacher
  • One can do teaching in school like montessori or high schools. B.Ed will add advantage in order to get better job in the teaching field. Or one can go for Ecc.ed,(Early Childhood Care and Education) course.
  • To get assistant professor job at degree level, one can do MA, then NET or PhD .
If you are not interested to pursue career in your psychology then you can opt for following paths:-
  • MBA in Human Resource (HR) or Hospitality Management (HM) or
  • MSW (Master of Social Work)
