Re: What are covered under Horanada Kannadiga scheme of KCET? Syllabus and model question papers?
The Horanada Kannadiga (HK) scheme is a special quota system for admission to professional courses in Karnataka through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test). The scheme is designed to benefit the children of Kannadigas living outside Karnataka who have studied and passed their qualifying exams outside Karnataka.
Under the Horanada Kannadiga scheme of KCET, 50% of seats in engineering, medical, dental, and other professional courses are reserved for candidates who are eligible under this scheme. However, candidates under this scheme must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), including qualifying marks in KCET. The syllabus for KCET includes topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology based on the first and second-year syllabus of the Karnataka Pre-University Course (PUC) Board. The questions in the KCET exam will be based on these subjects, and candidates will have to answer multiple-choice questions within a time limit of 80 minutes for each subject. To prepare for KCET, candidates can refer to the textbooks prescribed by the Karnataka PUC Board, as well as other reference books and study materials. Candidates can also take mock tests and solve previous years' question papers to get an idea of the exam pattern and difficulty level. Overall, the Horanada Kannadiga scheme of KCET provides a great opportunity for students from outside Karnataka who are eligible for this scheme to pursue their higher education in professional courses in Karnataka. |
