What is the minimum percentage required for IPS exam?
Respected Sir/Mam,
I want to know what is the minimum percent of mark required in graduation to give IPS exam and the candidate have any Hons or not? Can you please provide me the correct information on this soon as possible? Thanks! |

You just need a Graduation degree from a recognized University as there is no percentage criteria mentioned for this exam in the notification release by UPSC. Therefore, don't worry about your Degree percentage as only a Degree with pass marks in sufficient to make you eligible for the exam.
The age limit for IPS exam is 21 to 30 years. There is relaxation in age available for candidates who belong to reserved category. The selection is purely on merit and you have to clear Written exam and interview with excellent marks. For more information visit http://upsc.gov.in |

IPS is the top most Civil service in India after IAS. IPS stands for Indian Police services.
There is no specific percentage required for IPS exam. You must be passed graduate degree from a recognized University. The candidate applying for the IPS Exam must be a Citizen of Indian and age limit is 21-30 Years |

There is no minimum percentage required to be eligible for IPS (Indian Police Services) Examination. The basic educational qualification required is "Graduation" Or "Bachelor Degree" from a recognized university. Since there is no prescribed percentage is required, candidates who have PASSED their Bachelor Degree from a recognized institute/ university are certainly eligible to apply for CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Examination.
Educational Qualification: <> Degree of a Recognized University or Equivalent <> Candidates appearing in the requisite Degree Qualification are also eligible for appearing in the examination. However, they are supposed to submit proof of Passing the requisite qualification along with Detailed Application Form for Civil Services (Main) Examination. |

No percentage criteria in Graduation is required to appear in IPS examination. To become an IPS officer, you need to appear in IPS examination which is conducted by UPSC every year. To be eligible to appear in IPS examination, you must have to satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned below :-
1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. You must have obtained a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. 3. You must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules. Selection Procedure :- 1. Written Test 2. Personal Interview No. of Attempts :- General :- 4 times OBC :- 7 times SC/ST :- No Limit Since, you have completed your Graduation degree from a recognised university, by satisfying the above mentioned eligibility criteria, you are eligible to appear in IPS examination. |

IPS i.e Indian Police Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. The exam notification is not yet released but you can expect the notification in the month of June/July in the official website of UPSC as well as Employment news paper.
Eligibility Criteria : You should have completed graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Final year of degree course may also apply. Your age should be between 21 to 32 years at the time of August year of examination. Relaxation is applicable for this examination. Bachelor's degree is the mandatory qualification to apply for this examination. Male candidates : Minimum Acceptable height is 165 cms (general also) & ST (160 cms) Female candidates : Minimum Acceptable height is 150 cms (general also) & ST (145 cms) Chest : Male should have a minimum 84 cms and expansion 5 cm and female should have a minimum 79 cms and expansion 5 cm. Eye : 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. |

Candidates who have completed their graduation in any stream are eligible to appear for IPS exam and there is no minimum percentage criteria, which you have to satisfy to appear for IPS exam. So, if you have completed your graduation, you can appear for IPS exam.
Eligibility:- ->Candidate must be a citizen of India. ->Candidate must have completed have completed his/her graduation from a recognized institute ->Candidate should have a minimum age of 21 years and should not be more than 30 years. ->Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation as per government rules. |

There is no percentage criteria in IPS Exam or Civil Services Exam.
However, you must be passed/appearing in a Bachelor's course affiliated from a recognized University to apply for IPS Exam. Note that you CSAT Exam is compulsory for all. After qualifying CSAT Exam, you will be able to appear for Mains Exam. IPS Exam or Civil Services Exam has following three stages: CSAT Exam Mains Exam Personal Interview Exam Pattern of Preliminary Exam is: Optional Subjects which a candidate can choose are: Physical Standards required in Civil Services Exam for IPS: Height: For Males: Minimum height is 165 cm, For Females: Minimum height is 150 cm. Other than General Category Candidates, minimum required height is 160 cm for Male and 145 cm for Female Candidates. Chest: For Males: Minimum 84 cm, and should be expandable up to 5 cm For Females: Minimum 79 cm, and should be expandable up to 5 cm |

Sir, there is no certain minimum qualifying percentage is mentioned in the notification released by the UPSC, they just require the candidate to be graduate from any recognized university. Yes, there is age criteria that says the candidate should be between 21 to 32 for a general candidate.

There is no specific requirements of aggregate in graduation.
I.P.S stands for Indian POLICE SERVICE .There is no special examination conducted by the UPSC for this.The candidates have to appear for the Civil Service Examination. The eligibility criteria is final year or graduation completed students can apply for it.The age of the candidates must be : 21-30 for General candidates. 21-33 for OBC. 21-35 for SC/ST candidates. The examination process is taken in three steps : 1. Preliminary. 2.Mains. 3.Interview. |

Actually there is No particular or Specific percentage of marks for the IPS examination. Any candidate who have completed the graduation with any stream from the recognized university are eligible to apply.And there is No such specific requirement of percentage .
This is applicable for IAS and IPS as well.So you need to have a look on the below eligibility criteria for further clarifications. Eligibility criteria for IAS/IPS Examination : 1.You should complete the graduation with any stream from the recognized university. 2.Age should be in between 21 to 30 years for general categorized students and there is Age relaxation for the reserved candidates. For OBC --- 3 years For SC/ST -- 5 years 3.Final year students can also eligible to apply for Civil's. But you should submit the certificates at the time of Interview. |

There is no need for specific percentage marks to be eligible for civil services exam.Only the need is that the Candidate should have passed the graduation or bhechlor's degree or equivalent fom a recognised university.
The candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general category and there is relaxation for reserved category. Civil services exam is conducted every year by UPSC.(union public service commission) The exam is conducted in three steps; CSAT;civil services aptitude test, civil services main exam, and the final is interview. |

IPS (Indian police service ) :-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As per the Eligibility criteria of the IPS exam , there is no Cutoff percentage for the applicants. The candidates should satisfy the Eligibility criteria to apply for it. Eligibility criteria is , ~ The candidate shouldhave completed Graduation from a Recognised University. ~ Age of the candidate shouldbe in between 21-30 years , if the candidate is belong to General category ~ Age of the candidate shouldbe in between 21-33 years if the candidate is belong to OBC Category ~ Age of the candidate shouldbe in between 21-35 years , if the candidate is belong to either SC or ST category ~ The candidate shouldbe a citizen of India. So , there is no Cutoff percentage for the exam . You no need to bother about this point. You have to satisfy the other Eligiblity points which mentioned above to apply for the exam . |
