After completion of 12th (arts stream) you should study a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline to become an IAS Officer. You can study BA History or BA Geography or BA Social Science or BA Political Science or any graduation course to be eligible for the civil service examinations (IAS, IPS etc). The civil service examinations have Preliminary Examinations, Main Examinations and Personal Interview. First you have to clear the Preliminary examinations to qualify for the next level. The civil service examinations are conducted by UPSC once in every year.

To become IAS officer you have to complete your degree course in any discipline from a recognised University whether in Arts, commerce or Science as per your interest and according to the stream have chosen in your intermediate.
As you have completed your 12th standard from arts stream hence your eligible to take admission in Bachelor of Arts and after completing your degree you have to appear in civil services exams. Personally I would like to suggest you to join a good coaching institute in order to crack IAS exam.
