Duration of MBBS course? Scope of this course in Public Sector?

The duration of MBBS course is five years. The final year is basically internship period. There is ample scope after MBBS course in public sector. You can practice in the government hospitals and health centers. Apart from this, there are public sector units which recruit MBBS graduates as health professionals in their health departments. You can also get employment in Ministry of Health Affairs. There are many health related projects undertaken by state governments, you can be a part of it. You can also get into defense sector and Indian Railways. However, it is advised to undertake post graduation and specialize in a particular field.
