Hello everyone, I want to join Venkateshwara Open University for studying PhD(English). I would like to know about the procedure for getting admission in this university for this PhD course. Waiting for your response!

The admission procedure to study PhD in English at Venkateshwara Open University is a candidate must have passed Post Graduation in the relevant field with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate for general category and for SC/ST category it is 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Admission selection will be on the basis of written test which is conducted by the university followed by an interview.

Interested candidate can apply online through university website www.vou.ac.in by clicking on admission tab and then on Apply Now option. Fill the application form with all the required details and upload the scanned copy of all the relevant documents. Pay the application fee and submit the form.

Admission procedure to study PhD(English) in Venkateswara Open University :
(1)55% marks in Master’s Degree in English from any recognised University (50% in case of SC/ST/ PwD candidates)
(2)Candidates are selected through Written Test and Interview. Written Test conducted by the University is objective type.
*Candidates are exempted from Written Test who are qualified in CSIR/UGC-NET/JRF/SLET/ ICAR/ GATE.
*5% relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
