There is no age restriction for the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor.

If you could complete master degree in relevant subjects with minimum aggregate of 55% marks than you are eligible to appear in UGC NET or equivalent exam.

If you could secure good marks in UGC NET or equivalent than you are totally eligible apply for position of Assistant Professor at any recognized university irrespective of your age.

The upper age limit is 40 ( forty years) on the 1st January of the year of the notification and relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category (non-creamy layer) candidates for the post of Assistant Professor.
