What is upper age limit for appoint on direct recruitment basis in an university/college as per UGC norms for the following posts:-
i) Assistant Professor
ii) Associate Professor
iii) Professor

There is no age restriction for appointment of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor on direct recruitment basis.

There is no upper age limit for the recruitment of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor.

There is age restriction for JRF which is maximum 31 years.

Age limit for the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor:-

The age limit for assistant professor, associate professor, professor will be around 35 to 50 years .
This age limit varies based on the state and University. Few Universities keep the upper age limit as 35 years and for assistant professor the upper age limit will be around 40 to 50 years.
