Can I apply in UGC-NET to get stipend if studying PhD(Anthropology) from distance university?
Hello, I am doing PhD in Anthropology from a distance university in Assam. I have taken admission this year without NET or any entrance exam. But now I want stipend for my PhD. So, can I give UGC NET for getting stipend? Is this possible for me?

You need just a master's degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university if you are looking to apply for UGC NET or even SET. There is no need of PhD qualification for UGC NET and distance mode doesn't matter if it is approved by UGC DEC.
Hence, just make sure your qualification is approved by UGC recognised university. There are many distance mode universities like IGNOU which is valid surely. |
