Chances to study PhD(Chemistry) for a candidate with 54.42% in MSc?


Hi friends, I have scored 54.42% marks in my MSc in Chemistry course. Is there any chance for me to study PhD program in Chemistry? I came to know that 55% is minimum percentage a candidate must score in MSc for the PhD program. Please help me!

°°° Yes, minimum percentage required to pursue PhD in India is 55% and even some universities select candidates with minimum 60%.
Hence, you are not eligible.

As per UGC guidelines qualification to study PhD in any subject:
Master’s Degree from any recognised University with atleast 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ OBC non creamy layer and any other reserved categories candidates).
