Hello everyone, I want to do PhD(History) from Jamia Millia Islamia. I just want to know about the eligibility criteria for getting admission and studying this PhD course in this institute. Please tell me immediately. Thank you!

Eligibility to study PhD (History) in Jamia Millia Islamia:

1) 55% marks in the master's degree from a recognized university.

2) Candidates have to qualify the university entrance test or NET (National Eligibility Test).

** Ph.D. History or Doctor of Philosophy in History is a Doctorate level History course.

** The required eligibility to study Ph.D. (History) in Jamia Millia Islamia is that the candidate should have passed master degree from a recognized university.

** The minimum percentage required in the master degree for the open category is 55% and 50% for SC.ST category candidate.

** Also, you have to score good marks in the entrance examination to study Ph.D. (History) in Jamia Millia Islamia.

Eligibility to study PhD(History) in Jamia Millia Islamia are as follows:-
Candidates must have completed their Master’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates have to qualify in the written test and Interview round to secure admission.
Candidates who have passed CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ GATE/ SLET are exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance Test. Those candidates have to appear in the Interview round only.
Candidate age should not be more than 55 years.
Candidate must have completed Master’s with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

Eligibility to study Ph.D (History) in Jamia Millia Islamia are mentioned below:-
Candidate must have passed Master Degree in History of Art/ History/ Archaeology/ Anthropology/ Aesthetics with at least 55% aggregate from a UGC recognised University.
There is no age limit to pursue this course.

The eligibility criteria to study PhD in History at Jamia Milia Islamia is:-

==> Candidate must have done master's degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

==> PhD admission is based on entrance test conducted by the university and followed by an interview and evaluation of research proposals.

==> Candidates who have qualified UGC.CSIR(JRF)/GATE/SLET or Mphil passed will not give the entrance test.

Candidates who have obtained at least a second class master’s degree in the subject in which candidates’ wishes to pursue a PhD (i.e. History) or in a subject allied thereto, with not less than 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible to study Doctor of Philosophy (History) in the Jamia Millia Islamia.
