Hello, which entrance exam I have to appear for getting admission in Mumbai University for PhD course in Gujarati? I want to secure admission for PhD with this specialization in Mumbai University.

Eligible candidates have to appear for the PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the University of Mumbai (twice in a year) for the admission to study PhD (Gujarati) in the University of Mumbai. Those candidates who have qualified SET / NET / GATE / JRF Examination / Teacher Fellowship / MPhil Degree are exempted from appearing in the PhD Entrance Test (PET) to study PhD (Gujarati) in the University of Mumbai. Short listed candidates have to undergo an interview conducted by the PhD Interview Committee for the admission to study PhD (Gujarati) in the University of Mumbai.

Entrance exam available to study PhD (Gujarati) in Mumbai University:

1) Candidates can appear for the written entrance examination conducted by the university itself.

2) Candidates can appear for NET (National Eligibility Test). NET qualified candidates need not to appear for university's written entrance examination.
