I will complete my Mphil in English at Jadavpur University (WB) in 2015 June. In 2015 (as on 1 June) I will be 27.9 yrs old. I am in Gen category.

My question are:
1....The maximum age for applying for NET exam is 28yrs (as on 1 June of that yr). What does this mean? Is 28 the max age for APPEARING for the exam or MAKING USE of the JRF award for admission in a PhD program of a university?
2.....The JRF award is valid for two tears from date of issue of letter. Does it remain valid after I cross 28yrs?

1.The maximum age is 28 years required to appear for the UGC NET exam. An age relaxation age of 5 years is applicable to the reserved category candidates.

2.The JRF award is valid for a period of two years from the date of issue of JRF award letter. Yes, it will be valid after 28 years and it cannot be extended further valid period.
