IIT JAM, UGC NET, CUCET, GPAT, and RUET are some of the entrance exams which candidates must pass to get admitted to Ph.D. computer science programs. Applications for PhDs are typically due in December or January.

Candidates must have a post graduate degree from a recognised university with minimum 55%marks .

Candidates also have to appear in the entrance exam called UGC NET.
