I wish to know that is the PhD entrance exam for Computer Science conducted by Punjab University same as the NET exam conducted for Computer Science? If, one prepares for the NET exam would, also subsequently be ready to sit in PhD entrance exam?

Yes, UGC NET exam is same for any University entrance exams for Ph.D course. If you are preparing for UGC exam then it will better for you to crack Ph.D entrance exams.
