Cutoff marks required in GATE to study MTech(EEE) in IIT?
Hello Sir, I am interested to study MTech in the specialization of EEE in IIT. I am preparing for GATE and I would like to know that what cutoff marks I have to score in GATE so that I can get admission? Please let me know as soon as possible.

Hi madam/sir. Every year ,the qualifiying cut off depends on 2 deciding factors.
1. No of students appearing for the exam 2. Difficulty level of the paper to be set. Usually , the cut-off for EE would about be varying about 25-30 for general category. But this year unfortunately the paper was so easy that the qualifiying cut off surged to 39 . So, it shows clearly that the cut off is highly unpredictable. The candidates should be prepared for both best and worst case of the paper. Good luck !! |

If your score is above 650 or 700 on an average , you can hope for an IIT seat.In other words, your All India Rank AIR should be in 500 or 1000 in worst case. To grab a top IIT seat of your choice, you should definitely be in top 100 ranks.Best of luck.
