Whether my 5 years integrated M.Tech degree is valid for any government jobs or not. Please help me.

Yes, the five integrated M.Tech course is valid for government jobs. The integrated course is beneficial as the students can save1 year duration of pursuing B.Tech and M.Tech separately. It is almost same as getting the degrees separately.

The candidate who pursued Integrated course have wide range of job opportunities in both public and private sector. They can get into any of the fields mentioned below :

* UPSC.

* SSC.

* Railways.

* Research and Development.

* PSU's.

* Banks.

* Educational Institutions.

Sorry, most of the government job advertisements put the educational qualification either as BTech of MTech. with 2+4+2 like that.

It is better to take it separately.


Most of the standard universities does not provide such integrated courses.

Theses are provided by deemed universities.

Most of the seats are vacant if we analyse the integrated BTech-Mtech admission process.

If separate you could save one year as well as change the specialization as per need.

Also the saturation of MTech is also a growing concern.

But still you can apply for private jobs easily. Also make sure you qualify GATE exam.

You can write GATE exam after 4th year in integrated Btech-Mtech.

Thus you can get jobs in government Public sector companies like HP, ONGC, GAIL,SAIL, IOCL etc.

Yes, five years integrated M.Tech course along with B.Tech is valid for any government jobs. Some of the government jobs for you are:

1. You can apply for the Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering for jobs in Public Sector Undertakings like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, ONGC etc. Almost all PSUs nowadays recruit candidates on the basis of GATE scorecard.

2. You can apply for jobs in Staff Selection commission, in defense jobs like CDS, in UPSC exams like Civil Services exams.

3. You can apply for jobs in Private engineering college as Assistant Professor, for NET exam for lectureship in government college.

If the course is recognized by UGC then surely you will be eligible for any government job without any doubt. In case, of M.Tech it should be approved by AICTE also.

Therefore, it is a good option and definitely valid for government job plus it will save your time possibly one year.

You need to pursue the course from a UGC and AICTE Recognized University and if you are doing so then Integrated M.Tech students are valid for Government Jobs.
So there is no problem in appearing for the Government Jobs for a student who holds the Degree of Integrated M.Tech.
