Is it necessary to have Maths in 12th to study MCA for a BCA student?


Hi everyone, I am studying BCA and I am from Commerce background as I did 12th with Commerce. Some of my friends are telling that we must have Maths in 12t to study MCA program. Is it true?

Yes, definitely maths is compulsory in 12th exams.
If you have maths in your 12th exams, then you are eligible for MCA, otherwise you cannot do MCA for top universities like DU, JNU.

But if you have a a CS in 12th or either in your graduation then you are eligible for MCA.

Many universities will offers this course, if you have CS subject in your 12th or in your graduation. But if you do not have maths and CS, then you are not eligible for MCA and you will not get admission in any University of India.
