Respected Sir/Madam, I want to get admission in NIT Jamshedpur for studying MTech(Energy System Engineering) course. I would like to know about the qualification which is essentially required to get admission for this MTech course in this college.

To get admission in NIT in M.Tech course, you will have to appear and qualify in GATE.

The minimum eligibility to appear for GATE is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in technology from a recognised university.

Energy System Engineering is under Mechanical engineering, so you will have to appear for GATE examination under Mechanical engineering stream.

---Qualification required to get an MTech(Energy System Engineering) admission in NIT Jamshedpur---

The candidate must have completed BE/BTech in Energy System Engineering from a recognized university or Institute.
Candidates having GATE score in 2017 will be given preference of candidates having score of 2018 or 2019.

In the qualifying degree the candidate should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA ( on a 10-point scale) for General/OBC or 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST candidates.

Admission is done through centralised counselling conducted by CCMT based on the score obtained in GATE.
