What is the pattern of the Common Admission Test 2020?


Respected Sir/Madam, I want to know about the pattern of the Common Admission Test of this year. I have applied for this admission test so that I can study for an MBA course. Kindly tell me about the pattern of this admission test.

The pattern of the Common Admission Test 2020 are as mentioned below:-

Mode of Exam - Computer Based test (CBT)

Total number of questions - 100 questions

Questions with Negative marking - 75 questions

Questions without Negative marking - 25 questions

Exam duration - 3 hours (one hour to each section)

Total number of sections - 3 sections (Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension and Data Interpretation & Logical reasoning)

Marking Scheme - +3 marks for correct answer and -1 marks for wrong answers.

Pattern of admission test is as follows:

There will be total of 100 questions and total mark is out of 300.

-1 for Each Incorrect Attempt

There will be 3 sections in this test which include Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation.

Duration of exam is 180 minutes.

CAT (Common Admission Test) is a online Computer based test comprising of 100 questions each of 3 marks. Out of these 100 questions, most of these questions are MCQs while few are non MCQs. Further, in case of MCQs there is a penalty of one marks for wrong responses.

Further, the test paper is divided into three sections which are mentioned below :-

* Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (34 questions).

* Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (32 questions).

* Section III: Quantitative Ability (34 questions).

The time allotted for solving each of the three sections is 1 hour.

CAT 2020 exam pattern:


Total questions in the exam will be 100.

Total marks will be 300.

Total sections will be 3.

Total duration will be 180 minutes.

One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Sections will be quantitative aptitude, verbal ability and reading comprehension, and logical reasoning and data interpretation.

Term of test is 180 minutes.

* Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (34 inquiries).

* Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (32 inquiries).

* Section III: Quantitative Ability (34 inquiries)
