I am currently a first year mechanical engineer, but want to change to IT or CS.. Which one will be better in terms of salary and getting the job ? Your fast reply will be appreciated. Thanks

IT is the better branch between CS.
IT specialist average salary in India is Rs 10,13,376.

If we compare both the branches than CS has good scope .
Software professionals job is much higher in corporate sector.
But it's not just the matter of scope, what I interests you the most that also matters.
As it will become burdensome if you are not Interested in the field you take up.
