Eligilibility for getting admission in Indian engineering colleges

My daughter is studing in Dubai and she is doing her A levels in Maths and Physics. Please advise if she does her JEE Mains she will get admission in any engineering college in India. I stay in Mumbai and to get admission many of the local colleges are asking for CET exams in Mumbai. I am also told that she has to do 3 subjects in A level. Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Please advise if this is compulsory. If she does her JEE Mains in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and A levels in Maths and Physics will they accept.

Thanks and Regards,

The eligibility criteria for getting admission to Indian engineering colleges is that applicants must receive at least a 50% passing grade in their class 12*or equivalent examination from a reputable institution. They must have studied physics, chemistry, and math in high school. The students must achieve the cutoff on the entrance exam to get qualified.

To be eligible for admission to engineering colleges in India, your daughter needs to appear for JEE Main exam and score the minimum qualifying marks. However, just appearing for the JEE Main exam does not guarantee admission to any engineering college in India. Admission to engineering colleges is based on the JEE Main score as well as the class 12th or equivalent board exam score.

It is also important to note that different states in India have different admission procedures for engineering colleges. Some states have their own entrance exams such as the CET exam in Maharashtra. Therefore, if you are interested in admission to a specific college in Mumbai or any other state, it is important to check the eligibility criteria and admission procedures for that college.

Regarding the A levels subjects, it is true that most engineering colleges in India require candidates to have studied Maths, Physics, and Chemistry in their class 12th or equivalent board exam. However, some colleges may also consider candidates who have studied Maths and Physics in their A levels. It is best to check the specific eligibility criteria for the engineering college your daughter is interested in applying to.
