Sir i want to apply for merchant navy after passing 12th. What is the procedure for joining Merchant navy? The students with lower eye sight can also apply?

To qualify for the merchant navy after finishing class 12 with subjects PCM, candidates will have to appear for the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) and qualify for the exam with a good rank.

The minimum requirement for unaided vision is 6/12 in both eyes or 6/9 in the good eye and 6/12 in the other. The merchant navy does not accept any cases of color blindness.

You*must sit for the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Exam (IMU CET) and pass with a high score to be eligible for the merchant navy after completing class 12 with PCM.

Unaided vision needs to be at least 6/12 in each eye or 6/9 in the good eye and 6/12 in the other. Any cases of color blindness are not accepted by the merchant navy.

Educational qualification:-
Those candidates who have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised board are eligible for Merchant Navy.

Your age should be below 20 years.

To get into Merchan Navy you need to have a vision 6/6 without spectacles.
