It includes international trade, documentation, types of credit instruments, bills in foreign trade, foreign exchange department and its functions, contracts (option forward, date forward), factors affecting exchange rates, bullion currency, causes for international payment, role of RBI in exchange control, objectives, export financing and its guarantee, EXIM bank and its functions, import financing, types of letter of credit, project exports, bill of lading and its concepts, types of guarantees.

Paper Pattern: Candidate will be provided with a question paper which is divided into two parts A and B. Part A consists of total 8 questions out of which 5 should be answered. Each of them carry 5 marks on its head. Part B has 7 questions and candidates are required to answer any 4 out of it. Each of the questions in this section carries 15 marks. All are subjective type and may be subdivided.

Time allotted and Maximum Marks: Exam is of 3 hours duration with maximum allotted marks of 100.

Key Points: Repetitive pattern of questions can be expected. Straight questions will be asked. Candidates should be well versed with the definitions.
