The final year Orthodontia paper contains a specific syllabus structure which it follows. There are essentially two parts to the paper. Both the parts should be answered in a separates answer sheet. Both the part holds 45 marks with 2 long questions of 15 marks each and 3 short notes of 5 marks each. The first part requires lengthy enumeration and discussion of local factors of Malocclusion. It also covers questions on the different theories of Retention. The paper will contain questions with examples in them. Questions about the application of removable retention application can also be asked. There are also going to be short notes on different topics like Cleft lip, palate, malocclusion and hyalinization. The second part of the Orthodontia paper will ask questions like enumerating the various mixed detention analysis. This can also be accompanies with Moyer’s mixed dentition. There will be various theoretical questions which involve diagnosis, treatment of specific conditions, etiology etc. There can also be questions on Orthodontics and genetics. There will be short notes on specific terms like soldering and welding, growth spurts etc. Students must read carefully before attempting.
