The Pedodontia papers are divided into two separate sections which also have to be answered in separate sheets and submitted separately. The patterns of the two sections are similar. Each part consists of 45 marks and has two long questions of 15 marks each, and three short notes of 5 marks each. All questions are compulsory. The first section tests the candidates on the theoretical aspects of Pedodontia and the second section deals with the clinical aspects of the subject. Common questions in the first section are definition of apexi fication, Pulpotomy, preventive measures for dental carries etc. methods for child management at dental clinics is a very important topic and a commonly asked question. Short notes on Tunnel preparation, Dental Fluorosis, Pedodontic Triangle and Window of Infectivity are important topics. In the second section, description of common gingival diseases of children and importance of 1st dental visit of children are descriptive questions.
