The paper scheme of the Analog Communications paper is that the paper is having two sections, the first section being an objective multiple choice answer type section to be answered on the question booklet itself, while the second section is a descriptive section of 80 marks, where the student has to answer five questions of 16 marks each, out of eight questions. The first section has fill in the blanks, choosing and mathematical problems each of which has four given options. Some of the questions are amplitude modulation is the process of, ratio of modulating power to total power at 100% modulation, what is high frequency range etc. In the descriptive section, the common questions are block diagram of a modern telecommunication system, mathematical representation of FM wave using given modulation signal figures, brief description of telegraphy and the systems and machines required for its transmission and reception, advantages and disadvantages of frequency modulation over amplitude modulation and mathematical problems.
