It includes principle terms, main types of Indian health and care insurance products in terms of demographic issues, equity, corss-selling, stakeholder environment and potential issues, general business environment, products and distribution, requirements of professional standards; legal, taxation and regulatory framework understanding, policy holder protection, principles and practices of evaluation, uses and benefits of reinsurance support, asset-liability matching requirements, actuarial control cycle.

Paper Pattern: Candidate will be given 7 questions and all should be answered. The distribution of marks to each question varies. The questions are subdivided and all are subjective type. Numericals may be included.

Time allotted and Maximum Marks: Duration of the exam is 3 hours. A 15 minute time will be provided before the commencement of exam for reading the question paper. Maximum marks allotted are 100.

Key Points: Data provided in answer scripts should be confined to India (IRDA). If the question papers asks for the data regarding other countries then it can be provided. Case studies will be asked, correspondingly the answers should be provided with suitable and valid examples.
