The paper is of 80 marks. There are three sections, Section I has 20 marks and all questions are compulsory. This is an objective section consisting of multiple choice or fill in the blanks type questions. Section II has 30 marks and the candidates must answer any six questions of 5 marks each. Section III has 30 marks and the candidates have to answer any three descriptive questions of 10 marks each. Some of the questions from section 1 are: a top-to-bottom relationship among the items in a database is established by hierarchical schema; relational schema, network schema or all of them, the designer of a form includes field designators, prompts, either the options or none of the options. Some of the questions from section 2 are: when is a query language called rationally complete, describe the relationship between connection contexts and execution contexts. Some of the questions from the last section are: what are the structural, genomic, physiochemical and replicative properties of viruses used in taxonomy.
