The mechanics paper is a common question paper to many streams that is encountered by the students of mechanical engineering in their 1st semester. Along with the other 6 papers, mechanics paper has a weight age of 4 credits. It is a three hour long paper with a elaborate answers that one must choose from five questions from the eight that is given. The questions carry 16 marks each and the total marks are 80.There are four sets of the paper made to ensure that students are evaluated properly. The topics covered in this paper are the basics of forces, momentum, inertia, free body diagram, kinetics, kinematics, and center of gravity and the applications of mechanics.
