Mathematics paper V is for those guys who have taken up Mathematics major in their Bachelor’s course in the Kuvempu University. The questions are made in such a way that one has to be thorough with the course. The students need to attempt any 6 from the given 8 questions. So, there is not much of the choice for the students. The paper is for 90 marks and equal divisions for all of them makes the marks for each one to be 15. The important questions that are asked frequently are Roundoff error, Regula Falsi, Euler's method, - Gauss elimination, Trapezoidal, Simpson's, and Weddle's rules Newton-Raphson method as well as Gauss-Siedel method. Each question must be answered to the point. Answering in a roundabout way may lead to lessening of marks. All parts of the syllabus must be paid attention to. As this is a Mathematics paper one should not waste time in any question if they get stuck in any question. Below are attached some of the previous year’s question papers.
