If some more Universities like the Kuvempu are set up in all the parts of India then the education system will cross all the limits and the literacy rate of India will be the highest all over the world. For a B.Sc student the Mathematics is of utmost important and its first years B.Sc Mathematics paper checks the base of the students by the basic questions in the paper.  

Total Time and Marks allotted

The students studying have to write Mathematics Paper-I for 90 marks and they will be getting 3 hours time for completing their work.

Pattern of the paper:

The paper is divided into four sections which contains two questions each.  Each question in the paper is of 15 marks and students need to attempt at least one question from each group but in total they have to attempt six questions.  Each question has many sub parts which can be of two, five or even of six marks each. Since it’s a mathematics paper direct theory questions are not there but only sums are given with sum proofs. Three hours is ample amount of time for the paper in spite of any multiple choice questions in the paper which has now become a normal trend of all the exams.

What should be the approach towards the Paper?

The students must keep in mind all the time that time is very precious in Mathematics exam. If you get stuck in any of the problems don’t try it again and again. This will only kill your time. Just leave that question for the time being and go to some other questions. After completing your rest of the paper come back to that question and give it a try.
