Cryogenic Engineering is an important part of Mechanical Engineering and it deals with everything related to Cryogenics like Cryophysics, Cryoelectronics, Cryosurgery, cryogenic engineering etc . and other related processes of low temperature like cryogenics engines which is required for propulsion of rockets, air liquefaction etc. The paper generally tries to focus on all these topics and questions are set according to the scope of the syllabus prescribed the University. The Cryogenic Engineering paper like other Mumbai University papers is for 100 marks and for this you need to attempt 5 questions, all of which carry 20 marks. The paper has only one compulsory question which is Question 1. In Question 1 you need to write answers for 4 sub-questions, all having a weighatge of 5 marks. Sometimes you get choices as well in Question 1 and sometimes you get only 4. Sometimes even only 2 questions are asked with more weightage. Apart from that another 6 more questions forms a part of this paper and you can chose any 4 questions on which you feel confident. Below are attached some of the previous year’s question papers.
