The question paper has two parts. The first part has multiple choice questions and true or false type questions. The students have to marks the correct answers in their script. There is no negative marking. Some of the questions are: what does a Patent Application mean, what does Register of Patents contain, how many years is Compulsory License for export under Indian Patents Act for, in which court can a Patent Infringement Case be initiated, what kind of a paper should be used for submitting Patent application drawings. All questions have four choices. Part A2 consists of True and False type questions. Part B consists of 8 questions from which the student must answer 6. The questions are based on case studies or are descriptive theoretical questions. Some of the questions are: enumerate the four key issues under Indian Patent Act on Search for anticipation by previous publication and by prior claim, discuss the relevant sections and rules on Amendment of Applications and Specifications under the Indian Patent Act.
