The Indian Railway Recruitment Board conducts a written entrance test for recruiting candidates in post of ASM. The Entrance exam is a aptitude test divided into four segments namely General Arithmetic, Analytical and Quantitative Skills, General Awareness and as Language General Hindi/General English. The Total number of questions is of 100 to 120. There is a negative marking of one marks for three wrong questions attempted. The Entrance paper is held in various languages such as English, Hindi, Urdu ad even in recognized Local Languages. All of the questions are in multiple types and the total duration of the paper is 90 minutes.
