It mainly includes language processors, data structures, assemblers their elements, structure, linkers and design, software tools, problem solving, syntax errors, optimization, compiler and its phases, code generation, data structures and interpreters.

Paper Pattern: Paper is divided into two sections containing 12 questions in total. The first section will contain 6 questions out of which 3 should be answered. The choice is given for each question. The answer should be given to 1 or 2, 3 or 4, 5 or 6 questions. The second section also follows the same pattern. Interchanging the choice is not allowed. Marks are fixed for each question and are further divided depending on the number of sub questions they contain. All are subjective type.

Time and Maximum marks: Maximum marks of the paper is 100 and for that candidates are given a total of 3 hours.

Key Points: Conceptual figures, In-depth answers will carry more weightage. The writings, symbols and illustrations should be clearly defined.
