UPSC, Combined Medical Services Exam, Paper II (Code No. 2) Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics and Preventive & Social Medicine Paper is an objective paper. The questions asked in this paper are equally distributed to the three titles. The paper is based on the syllabus of MBBS. The paper is very competitive. Total no. of questions asked in the paper is 120 and every question has to be answered. There is also provision of negative marking, for every wrong answer, there is a deduction of one-third marks allotted to it. Total marks in the paper are 250 and time allotted for it is 2 hours.
