Mechanical Science-II paper is a common subject for the students of second year of all the branches of Engineering under West Bengal University of Technology. In Mechanical science-II students have to focus of two big parts of Mechanics i.e. Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. The paper is fully a numerical paper where you can score a lot. You will find very less and sometimes no theoretical questions. All you have to do in this paper is to derive some expressions or work out some numerical problems. For this paper students need a thorough practice as questions may be complex some time which will really need some good effort from the students. The paper has few objective questions as well, around 10, where you can score 10 out of 10 if you tick the correct options. Then there are 5 marks questions and 15 marks questions. They have been kept into 2 different sections, but no. of questions to answer remains same for both the section i.e. 3. The paper is only for 70 marks and rest 30 marks are given by college based on student’s performance in internal assessments. Below are attached some of the previous year’s question papers.
