About the Paper

The English Language & Technical Communication paper which is having paper code HU 101 is divided into 3 parts. The syllabus mainly covers English language grammar, reading comprehension, technical communication, mastering technical communication and developing reading comprehension skills.

Pattern of the paper:

The paper is divided into 3 sections. In the first section multiple choice type question are given with four choices. The section B is having short answer type question. And the last section is having essay type question on technical communication.

Duration of the exam:

Duration for the exam is 3 hours.

Marks:

Total marks allotted for the paper is 70. The section carries 10 marks in total, section B carries 15 marks and the last section carries 45 marks.

The paper

The paper may or may not have options for the first section but section B is having some options out of which a candidate has to attend 3 questions. And section C is also having some options and here 3 questions must be answered. In section B unseen passages are given from which some questions are asked to answer. The technical part consists of writings such as technical report, business application, job applications, letters, essays etc.
