I am confused from previous replies. Some replies said 20% of 9th class marks are added in 10th class result and some said that 9th class marks are not added in 10th class result. Please clarify.

No. There is no such possibility of 9th standard marks to be added in 10th standard marks even in small ratio.
10th standard marks will have its own CGPA which is completely based on your performance in the examination of 10th standard.

No, the 9th standard examination marks will not be added to our Class 10th final examination results. Your 10th standard examination result will be purely based on your performance in your 10th standard board examinations. If you perform well, you can get good CGPA else, you will get less CGPA. 9th class marks does not add in 10th marks as they both are different level & 10th is board. So, you should not be having any confusion regarding this. You must score good marks in 10th to secure admission in 11th class.

Here I am introducing you with the fact that from now onward class 9th marks will not be added in class 10th result of final examination. Class 10th result will contain the marks of the subjects which you have scored in class 10th examination and result will be based on class 10th marks. So, concentrate on class 10th examination.

According to the new curriculum of the CBSE, you can appear in the 10th standard through 2 ways :

1. Home Board i.e. School conducting and evaluating the exams
2. CBSE i.e. CBSE conducting and evaluating the exams.

If you and rather your school choose for home board then there would be the addition of 9th class marks which would have an equal weightage as your 10th marks.

If you choose for the CBSE, there would not be any addition of any marks other than that of your final exams marks of 10th standard.
