Dear Sir, I have given my Board exam of 10th standard with NIOS Board. My aim is to join Indian Army and serve in Border Security Force. So, with this NIOS qualification, I can join this department or not?

NIOS stands for National Institute of Open Schooling. NIOS is a central government recognized board for secondary and senior secondary board examinations. MHRD has also approved this board.

You can apply for various higher studies course, government jobs in different sectors etc after pursuing 10th and 12th from NIOS board. Yes, you can join Border Security Force with NIOS certificate.

NIOS certificate is a valid certificate and has same value as that of CBSE, ICSE or any other state board.
Hence, you are eligible to join Border security force.

Eligibility for Border security force-

- Candidate should have Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university or equivalent.

-Candidate's age must be 20 to 25 years. The age relaxation is provided to SC/ST/OBC.

Yes, NIOS certificate is applicable to defence sector.
You can apply for GD post in CISF, CRPF, BSF and state government police.
You can apply for Indian army, Indian Navy and Indian airforce post through NDA exam.

Yes, you can join Border Security Force with NIOS certificate.
