Respected Sir/Madam, Is NEET-UG recognize my 12th marksheet from NIOS Board? Am I eligible for appearing it? My subjects in NEET-UG are as per required by the Board? Please let me know asap.

NIOS is a recognized board to complete your class 12th education. Hence, it will be valid for NEETor any other entrance exam, provided you have studied the stream according to the course applied for.

You must have studied PCB stream, with practicals and theory papers. There is nowhere written in the notification, that NIOS candidates are barred from admission.

NIOS is National Institute of Open Schooling and it is a recognised board. The candidates passed 12th from NIOS are eligible to appear for NEET.

NEET is conducted by NTA. The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th or appearing with PCB as main paper.

Candidate must have scored minimum 50% in PCB. The application form for the examination is available now.

NEET refers to National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and to appear in NEET UG held by NTA for offering admission in undergraduate bachelor degree course such as MBBS/BDS across any medical of India (except AIIMS and JIPMER) the minimum qualification required are as below :-

* You must have the nationality of India.

* Your age must not be under 17 years as on 31st December of that year in which you are appearing in the NEET UG while it must be under 25 years by the date of examination. Upper age limit relaxation of 5 years is allowed for reserved category candidates.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in Science stream with PCB group with at least 50% marks from a recognized board of education. Marks relaxation of 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates.

So, having completed your Class 12th from NIOS board which is one of the three national board of education, you are eligible for appearing in NEET UG if you satisfy the above mentioned basic requirements for appearing in the same examination.
